Ayurveda with its unique approach provides various tips and medicine to have a healthy and glowing skin and also beautiful hair. Let’s have a look at some of the ayurveda tips for healthy skin:

A healthy skin is a sign of a healthy internal body says ayurveda. Ayurveda for any internal or external issue believes that it is the balance of vata, pitta and kuffa that decides or ignites any imbalance in external look or internal health. Ayurveda states certain features of a healthy skin type and they are:
- The skin texture is Soft, oily and smooth
- Smooth, oily lips
Due to the increase in pollution, eating habits and stress levels, many face various facial skin problems among which following are the common problems:
- Acne and Pimples: These days use of various cosmetics has led to various side effects on the facial skin in the form of allergies and pimples. Also the amount of calories that we eat also leads to pimples on the face. Here are some tips for avoiding or curing acne and pimples:
- Make a paste of one teaspoon of sandalwood paste and turmeric mixed in milk. It nourishes the skin and removes acne
- People facing pimple problems, it is preferred to apply a paste of 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds paste and wash thoroughly after an hour.
- For a healthy and glowing skin it is recommended to apply a paste of 1 teaspoon coriander juice mixed with a pinch of turmeric.
- Pigmentation: Pigmentation is caused due to various reasons like over exposure to sun stress, unhealthy eating habits, less sleep, aggravation of pitta etc. Some tips for solving pigmentation are as follows:
- Applied smashed papaya or papaya juice at the affected area
- Apply a pasted of basil leaves with water and apply on the affected areas
- Grind few almonds and mix them with 1 teaspoon of fresh cream along with a few drops of lemon juice and apply on affected areas.
